About Us

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Here's the deal: We love Jesus. We Love one another.

Burnside Christian Church is a family of believers committed to following Jesus...together. We are committed to one another's spiritual development and maturity.

What we believe

Burnside Christian Church is an independent, restoration movement church. We believe:

  • The Bible is the inherent, inspired Word of God
  • Jesus is God the Son, sent by God the Father, who promised God the Holy Spirit
  • We are saved by God's grace, through faith, at baptism
  • The Church is the bride of Christ through whom the world will be reached

Mission Statement

Jesus Christ gave the church His mission before ascending back to heaven. Our mission is to make Christ followers and nurture that relationship to the deepest level possible. (Matthew 28:19, 20)

What's the bottom line? More than ever, Burnside Christian Church is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.

Our Vision

We believe relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We want everyone to have a meaningful relationship first and foremost with Jesus Christ. We also want relationships to exist between one another. 1 Thessalonians 2:8 is our model for how we accomplish the mission of making Christ followers: "Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of Jesus Christ, but our lives as well."

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Burnside Christian Church. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the family at BCC.
